I talked to the program coordinator today and gave her times with the details of what happened, and because I'd been messaging Pappaprime as it happened, in my panic I wound up produced a series of messages that served as a timeline of events for what unfolded. The coordinator was very nice, very understanding and patient about it. She made it clear she did not blame me nor the other two roommates (apparently neighbours had heard her name repeated constantly) and was livid at our roommate, and kept asking me if I was really okay. She was especially angry when she read a couple texts for herself, but said she would just let me handle detailing the events to her with the timestamps. It surprised me how calmly she dealt with it all, though, and how appreciative she was that I felt comfortable enough to show her the FB messages and exchanges. Not fun stuff, but she definitely made it a good experience to retell the events officially. Even provided me with coffee before I could start because "I know you like coffee."
As much as I now hate my dumbass roommate and her idiot friend's guts for daring to say "Oh! Good morning Krystalle! How are you doing?" with a smile the morning of his and his friend's lovely incident, I now have a deep appreciation for my two sane roommates and the program coordinator. An all-night lockdown leads to lovely bonding moments, who knew? And like I said, the program coordinator was just amazing about it. And then there's how wonderful and amazing Pappaprime is in general for talking to me right after hearing about the main event of the night, for lack of a better word. I'd had no idea the scope of my panic, really, until morning when I read my texts about it. Yup. Fun stuff. Fun, fun, FUN stuff over the last two days. :I
In brighter news, Sanremo is gorgeous and Dolce Acqua is gorgeous and all of Italy is gorgeous and I love France too but Italy too. I JUST LOVE STUDY ABROAD, OKAY?
New website post- World Watercolor Month week 1!
Okay, so you may have seen that I'm doing World Watercolour Month. I've been posting the finished pieces here, and some progress pics as well on my Instagram. I've blogged about inspirations and process and whatnot on each piece as well, freshly posted on my (resurrected!) website: http://www.deviousrose.com/2018/07/world-watercolor-month-2018-week-1-july.html
The pieces, if you haven't seen them:
Some are obviously better than others. I wrote about that in the process post as well.
Thanks for reading and checking this out!

Back(ish)
I took a 5 year hiatus from dA in general and a 3 year hiatus from dAmn (dA chatrooms) because life. I've been doing a lot of art since I graduated college at the end of 2015, but it's all been posted to Instagram, which I've found much more community-oriented than dA. But I did miss dAmn, so here I am, again.
Anyways, quick life updates:
:bulletblack: moved to New England a couple years ago for grad school. Turns out desert flowers don't do well in snow
:bulletblack: one of my closest and oldest friends died last August. Tomorrow I turn 25, one year older than she will ever get to be. We were both the new kids in 8th grade, and new t
My deviantART Story
1) Carried over from my old account, it's an old poem I wrote when I was 10, but that I feel exemplifies all my writing in general with the simplicity and sort of pretentious elegance.
2) The first more complex amigurumi I made. I made it for a friend's birthday and lost the pattern (which I'd come up with) a couple years ago because "I'll type it up later."
3) My first photomanipulation submitted to deviantART after a 3 year gap, it showed me my improvement and where I still need to improve, and bolstered my photoediting skills significantly.
4) My obsessions with ink, colours, splashes, and watercolour pencils show in this work.
Study abroad soon + this year in review
So in less than a week I leave the country to study abroad in France for a semester. I'll be there a total of four months and will be returning to the blazing hot desert in May. ~feefoedanceplz (https://www.deviantart.com/feefoedanceplz) Looking forward to that. As for the year in review, a LOT has happened in this last year and all of it brought out parts of me I hadn't known existed or thought were no longer there. I met plenty of awesome people and got to know other awesome people much, much better, and met someone in particular who turned out to be a wonderful, amazing person who's supported me and helped me so much in so many ways and gotten so close, and all right from th
